On May 23rd, the university held a seminar to study the spirit of President Xi Jinping's reply letter to Central Asian students at China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Sun Lijuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university, attended the seminar and delivered a speech. Zhang Min, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Minister of Publicity Department of the university, the persons in charge of the College of Overseas Education, advisors of international students and some representatives of international students attended the seminar.

　　Marina from Turkmenistan said, I was encouraged by President Xi Jinping's reply letter to the Central Asian students, which strengthened my conviction to learn my professional knowledge well and make my personal contribution to the bilateral trade exchange between Turkmenistan and China. Dony from Uzbekistan expressed his thoughts, After coming to China to study, I felt the modern development of China. Whether it is e-commerce, payment methods, logistics or infrastructure development, I am amazed by the high performance of the operations. This has inspired me to set up a cross-border e-commerce company in the future. I hope that in the future I can contribute personally to the economic and trade relations between China and Uzbekistan. Aminul from Bangladesh said, Bangladesh is one of the first countries to respond to China's 'One Belt, One Road' initiative. China has helped to build the Padma Bridge and other infrastructure in Bangladesh and the relationship between the two countries is very friendly. I hope to learn good expertise in China and gain rich technical experience through my internship so that I can play a role in promoting IT development in Bangladesh when I return home. Raushan from Kazakhstan believes that the China-Central Asia Summit has strongly promoted the deepening of cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. The two countries strive to seek and strengthen common strategies, and discuss the cooperation in many fields including agriculture, renewable energy, and logistics. It meets the fundamental interests of the people of the two countries.  All the international students who attended the seminar expressed their feelings about the China-Central Asia Summit and the construction of One Belt, One Road. They look forward to more mutually beneficial cooperation projects between China and the One Belt, One Road countries and regions in the future and hope to become envoys of friendship and bridges of cooperation between the two sides in the future.

　　Vice President Sun Lijuan expressed her pleasure to meet face-to-face with international students from Central Asia and other countries along the Belt and Road to learn about the China-Central Asia Summit and the spirit of President Xi Jinping's letter to Central Asian students at China University of Petroleum (Beijing). She recalled the wonderful performance of the international students in their study and participation in competitions in recent years. You have won many honors for the university and showed your unique style. She hopes all the international students shall keep in mind NJUPT’s spirit of reaching out to the world while striving persistently for perfection, practice NJUPT’s motto of morality, persistence, practicality and sincerity, bravely undertake the opportunities and responsibilities given by the times, further strengthen exchanges, deepen integration and develop innovation. International students are not only witnesses to and beneficiaries of Sino-Central Asian ties, but also builders and disseminators, and encouraged to join hands to contribute to promoting people-to-people contacts and facilitating the building of a community with a shared future.

　　Since the launch of the academic education for international students, NJUPT has improved the top-level design, strengthened the internal construction of international student education, improved the level of internationalization services, promoted international understanding education, focused on the comprehensive quality and sentiment cultivation of international students, promoted the growth and success of international students, and cultivated a number of outstanding international students from more than 60 countries along the Belt and Road.
